Hi Everyone,
Well here we are again and another 2 months have almost slipped away, Your Committee has had its bi-monthly meeting on the 8th of October.
Just a few points to pass on to the membership that came out of that meeting, for those of you on the e-mail list you would have noticed that webmaster George put a report of the clubs ride on mower up recently. We are pleased to now report that the mower is now back in going order for the grass growing season after repairs have been made. The committee wishes to express its thanks to those who have given time and much effort into this task, namely George Carnie, Kevin Hay, and Wayne Rice a friend of George’s who is keen to help the club out from time to time.·
Some would have been inconvenienced recently on Saturday 6th of October after travelling to the field for a fly on our scheduled club day to find that we had to curtail flying due to the spraying that was being done, However it has been confirmed that we would in future be given more notice if this could only be done on a Saturday again.
It was also decided to hold the Clubs Annual dinner at the Perth Hotel, the same venue that we had for last year’s dinner this is planned for Friday night 9th of November 7.30 PM.
We would need to know numbers coming so that catering arrangements can be prepared, please let one of the committee know of your intentions at least by Monday 29th October. (Similar to last year, a registration form has been placed on the web site and details can be found here Ed.)
Unlike previous years there will not be any trophies given as we have not had any contests in this last year.
Our usual Christmas function at the field this year will be held on the club day on December 1st, this will be a day with the emphasis on fun and all models are encouraged, if there is enough of one group of models say Tomboys then we will have an event for them but this will not be all day, maybe 1 event and then move on to something else or general flying and the usual lolly drop would certainly be on the cards for such an event. Again it would be most convenient to know numbers coming for catering purposes. (Again as in last year, a registration form will be put on the website shortly. Ed)
It would be anticipated that we will still be on our present site for some while yet.
There are 3 letters from the MAAA attached: –
MAAA -N/L number 4, Letter from MAAA perTMAA re flying with non affiliated persons and National Glider and Electric Champs 25th-28th Jan2013 (These were all sent directly to members)
Well that about wraps it up for now, so as always
Happy flying and safe landings from your committee
