Fokker DVII by J Wakae – Part 2

Hi all,

Some may be aware Jacques has been painstakingly building a scale Fokker DVII. He wrote an article on his source material here. I am hoping to get Jacques to write a further progress report, through to the maiden flight. I have just received an email regarding some cockpit detail he has been working on. The detail is amazing and I think it should be on display without covering up all that work!

I have been struggling for months, no, years in trying to motivate myself to finishthe Fokker DVII. The main hang-up was the blasted instruments. So much fiddle work.I have now finally finished the last one and can now carry-on with covering the fuselage.I have attached a photo of the last and most finicky instrument.

The compass swings on the gimbals, but the compass rose is fixed. Have to remember to take a few shots of the cockpit before covering the sides……. Jacques W
