Hangar Talk – March 2013

Clubhouse relocation article moved here.

Christmas Fun Fly – December 1, 2012

A good turnout of members with our friends from HMAC also present. However the weather was not kind with a howling gale blowing and only Max Wiggins braving the elements. Great christmas lunch organised by Kerry with the support from the other ladies. The raffle was again a raging success and has provided a much needed bolster to the financial coffers. Thanks to Kerry for organising and obtaining so many donations. Thanks also to the members who did so well selling tickets!

This was a very special Christmas with the introduction of a new award – The annual Presidents Award. This award was created to recognise a member who demonstrated the following attributes –

  • The member should be one who was committed to our club;
  • one who readily assisted new and old members;
  • one who provided a fine example to fellow members;
  • one whose dedication to aeromodelling was evident and one whose personality inspired others.

This inaugural year the decision for the President was relatively easy – Chris Klimeck.

Here are some pictures from the day. (I added a couple when Chris visited me at my home – it shows his other passion – his Moto Guzzi which was immaculate as you would expect from Chris – we’ll miss you mate)
