Competition Results

Throughout the year LMAC will run various events that are designed to encourage member participation in various disciplines of model aircraft flying. These can range from low key events such as Free Flight, Old Timer and the latest “Tomboy” events, to full blown competitions, run under the rules of MAAA sanctioned State Championship events such as LEG (Limited Electric Glider). We like to see most events as low key and above all FUN. Often we see too many “rules” applied and participation suffers as a result. Nevertheless, whilst events calendars are proposed each year, we at LMAC encourage members to come forward and suggest their preferred category of event. These events not only foster camaraderie and fun but all contribute in some way to improving our flying skills and that can’t be a bad thing!

We also intend to reintroduce the annual trophy night that rewards our participants for their efforts. More on that later.
