Hi Everyone-
It seems as though the time just fly’s; here it is the 4th month of the year already.
It is pleasing to be able to say that our relocation has happened, it has now been quite a while since Andrew Youl informed the club of the impending sale of Symmons Plains, and just how that may affect us and our operations on the site that we had occupied for the past 25 years .
So it is pleasing to say the least that we are still on the property where we have enjoyed our hobby /sport now for so long.
We must all be surely grateful and privileged that the plans the new owners had for the development of the new property they had purchased did not come to us and say that we had better find somewhere else.
But of course as it had been said many times before over the years it is not our property and we must be up front and be seen to be doing the right thing at all times so that we may be able to continue to enjoy the facilities that we have. The owners are quite pleased with what we have done in our set up on the site.
For the benefit of those not on e-mail you will find enclosed with this report 2 other items. Being the April Presidents report and a memo from the committee in relation to a poll which the committee has set up regarding a charging station at our site for those who fly electric models and do not bring their own charging battery with them to the field.
The memo is self explanatory but of course if you desire to be part of the poll you will need to give our webmaster George Carnie a ring and tell him your position on this matter as he is collating the responses.
There are 2 items the committee needs to mention they are- make sure that you all take any rubbish home with you when you leave and make sure if when you come to the gate across the road in and find it shut make sure you close it behind you do not leave it for someone else unless they are right behind you.
This is not a very long report this time as the club life has been mentioned in the other reports.
Well that about wraps it up for now so,
Happy flying and safe landings off our new strip from your committee
