Hi Everyone,
It seems so long now since I have given you all a report from our Committee meeting. Well there are reasons of course there always are but they are very real. Sickness in some ways has been the real issue, as possibly you may now all be aware the committee meets bi-monthly and on our scheduled date for our last meeting George and Kerry had to go over to Melbourne for Kerry to have an operation procedure so we deferred it a week, then before I could get this report underway I had a severe heart attack which saw me in hospital for a few days and the blockage rectified in the plumbing to the heart. Any way we all seem to be warm and vertical once more and eager to get on with it again.
Anyhow to the report, but really we do not have any thing much to report on as we had one of our shortest meetings on record. At the time of our meeting we were told that as far as our field and moving issues are concerned the drill is just to keep going as we are, the weather has been far too wet to attack the building of the new road into where we will eventually be located.
Members at our recent AGM will recall that it was suggested for practical reasons to seek the services of another Accountant for our annual audit this it now seems has been successfully completed as reported by our Treasurer.
There have been some revision of our club By-laws, some minor points that needed tidying up, if you do not have the convenience of looking at these on our club website then I shall put a copy in the blue folder at the clubhouse.
We are saddened with the passing of Peter Riall I would call Peter one of life’s true Gentlemen with the emphasis on the word Gentle that’s how I would sum him up when we talked together which was as often as he could make it to the field. Sympathy’s of the club have been expressed by others and by the E-Mail sent by George and in the Presidents report.
There are 3 attachments to this report. (These were sent to members via email. G)
- MAAA News Letter — your attention is drawn to the part of the insurance excess which has been increased from $250.00 to $500.00
- The latest CIAM Flyer
- MAAA Insurance Policy remains unchanged despite rumours to the contrary.
It is great to hear of Mike Madden back at the field, that incident has now been closed out by the MAAA.
Well that about wraps it up for now, so as always
Happy flying and safe landings from your committee
