Hello everyone!
Mid-October was an exciting occasion for our club in that the slabs were poured for the re-location of our club house and for the new implement shed/toilet. I rang George on the Wednesday to inform him that I would like to witness the contractors excavating the new site and to meet the owner of the property, Mr Steven Creese, and so it happened.
Believe me, Steven Creese has been exceedingly generous in allowing us to stay on this property. A large area of the wheat crop has been slashed to allow access to the site, to provide a parking area and for the actual strip. Steven was very pleasant and, on behalf of the club, I expressed our extreme gratitude for his kind gesture in providing this site.
On Friday the slab was poured and our members who attended on the next Saturday were treated to an inspection of the new site. I think everyone was impressed.
I am looking forward to our dinner this Friday, 9th November, at the Perth Hotel. I have just been informed that thirty-seven persons will be attending. A great effort! We had an excellent meal there last year and had a very enjoyable time. Geoff will be MC and has a few goodies for lucky door prizes etc.
Saturday, 1st December, will be our Christmas Party in the club house. I hope all members and families can make it as we guarantee a great time for everyone as well as fine food. As George and Kerry are leaving for the U.S.A. that weekend this will provide us with the opportunity of wishing them “Bon Voyage”.
Kerry has a great box of donations for our Christmas Raffle and I thank her for the hard work she has done in gathering these items and also a big “Thank You” to our donors. This is our major fund raiser for the year so the more raffle tickets sold the better our finances will be.
Next Committee Meeting will be on 26th November so please contact any of our Committees members if you have any requests/ideas/ suggestions for us to discuss.
